So &amp;quot;resizing&amp;quot; here means spreading apart or squeezing together a group of fixtures, or stretching or shortening a spline, and &amp;quot;rotating&amp;quot; means turning the selected fixtures around the center of the selection. All of this is done using the handles of the selection box while the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Select and Move&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; tool is active; next to it, on the toolbar, are the mirror-flip buttons. Any of these actions can be undone with &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Ctrl+Z&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and redone with &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Ctrl+Y&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (or &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Ctrl+Shift+Z&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;).&lt;br /&gt;

== Selection Box and Its Handles ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Select the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Select and Move&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; tool on the [[Панель инструментов|toolbar]] and select fixtures — a rectangular box will appear around them, built from the outermost points of the selection. The box has four kinds of elements:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Corners&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; — four square scale handles. The handle under the cursor is highlighted, so you can see what you&amp;#039;re about to grab before clicking.&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Square in the center&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; — the move handle: convenient for dragging a dense group without risking grabbing an individual fixture.&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Rotation handle&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; — placed to the right of the box and connected to its center by a thin line. Its distance from the box on screen is always the same, no matter how far you zoom into the field.&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Angle value&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; — the label next to the rotation handle, showing the current angle in degrees to the nearest hundredth. For freshly selected fixtures it reads 0.00°.&lt;br /&gt;

If exactly one single fixture is selected, there are no scale or rotation handles — only the move square remains. Stretching or rotating a single point makes no sense: select a spline or several fixtures, and the handles will appear.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This box does not select fixtures while the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Select and Edit Effects&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; tool is active — that tool works with effects and layouts. If no box appears around your fixtures, first check which tool is active.&lt;br /&gt;

== Resizing ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
# Select fixtures: by clicking, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Shift&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;-clicking, or with a selection box. You can select splines and single fixtures together.&lt;br /&gt;
# Hover the cursor over any &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;corner&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; of the box and press the left button.&lt;br /&gt;
# Drag the corner. The opposite corner of the box stays in place, and the fixtures stretch or shrink along with the box. Changes are visible immediately, while you drag.&lt;br /&gt;
# Release the button — the new position is fixed. The whole drag counts as a single action: &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Ctrl+Z&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; restores the fixtures to their original size in one step.&lt;br /&gt;

The scaling modifiers are read from the left-hand &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Shift&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Alt&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; keys.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Things worth knowing about scaling:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;You can&amp;#039;t flip the selection inside out by dragging a corner.&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; A corner cannot pass beyond the opposite side: the box stops at a minimum width and height of one pixel. To get a mirror image, use the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Flip&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; buttons (see below).&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Snap to grid.&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; While the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Snap to Grid&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; toggle on the toolbar is on (it&amp;#039;s on by default), fixture coordinates are rounded to a whole field pixel after scaling. Turn it off if fixtures need to sit between cells.&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Flat selection.&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; If all selected fixtures lie on a strictly horizontal or strictly vertical line, the selection has no second dimension: scaling only works along the line, and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Shift&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; proportions have no effect in this case.&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;The size of the fixtures themselves doesn&amp;#039;t change.&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; Only their placement is scaled: each fixture still occupies exactly one pixel, as before. What changes is the distance between fixtures.&lt;br /&gt;

== What Happens to Fixtures When Scaling ==&lt;br /&gt;

The result depends on exactly what you&amp;#039;re stretching.&lt;br /&gt;

This has two practical consequences.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* After stretching splines with &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Fixed Pixels&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, check the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Fixtures&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; window and verify port fill: there may now be more fixtures than fit in a universe. For more on distributions, see [[Properties]] and [[Патчинг приборов]].&lt;br /&gt;
* If you need to change fixture density on a line rather than its length, don&amp;#039;t stretch the spline: for uniform distribution there&amp;#039;s a &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Fixture Count&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; parameter in the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Properties&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; window for that.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
One more thing: fixtures pushed outside the working field by scaling receive no animation and output zeros. If the ends of a line went dark after stretching, bring them back into the field.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
== Rotation ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
# Select fixtures. A box with a rotation handle on the right will appear around them.&lt;br /&gt;
# Press the rotation handle and drag it up or down. The fixtures turn around the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;center of the box&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, and the label next to it shows the current angle.&lt;br /&gt;
# Release the button. The fixtures settle into their new position, and the handle returns to its place to the right of the box.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The angle is measured from horizontal and resets to zero each time you grab the handle again: rotation always proceeds from the fixtures&amp;#039; current position, not their original orientation. To rotate the selection by exactly 90°, drag the handle along the arc upward until the tooltip shows 90.00°.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Rotation snap.&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; The toolbar has a &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Rotation Snap&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; toggle and an angle field next to it. When snap is on (it is by default, with a 15° step), the angle changes in multiples of that value while rotating — lines can easily be set to exact 15, 30, 45, or 90 degrees. Turn snap off to rotate freely, down to hundredths of a degree. The value in the field is a global program setting, and it persists between launches.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Worth remembering:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;The rotation center is the center of the selection box&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; — you can&amp;#039;t set a different point. But you can shift the center: add one more fixture to the selection on the side you need — the box will grow, and the center will move toward it.&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;With snap to grid on,&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; rotated fixtures are rounded to whole pixels. So a line set at a shallow angle lands on the field in &amp;quot;steps&amp;quot; — this is normal behavior for a pixel field, not a bug. If you need a smooth diagonal, turn off snap to grid.&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;A spline remains a spline after rotation&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;: its vertices rotate together with the fixtures, and the shape of the line doesn&amp;#039;t change.&lt;br /&gt;
* Rotation can also be undone with &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Ctrl+Z&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;.&lt;br /&gt;

== Mirroring ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You can&amp;#039;t mirror a selection using the box&amp;#039;s corners — for that, the toolbar has two buttons: &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Flip Horizontal&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Flip Vertical&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. They&amp;#039;re available with the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Select and Move&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; tool active, when at least one fixture is selected.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The mirroring happens relative to the center of the selection; sizes don&amp;#039;t change. Pressing the same button again reverts everything. Addresses stay tied to the same points on the line, so along with the geometry, the direction the spline&amp;#039;s fixtures run in is also mirrored: the first fixture ends up on the opposite side. If you need to reverse only the addressing order without touching fixture placement, use the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Reverse&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; property in the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Properties&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; window — see [[Properties]].&lt;br /&gt;

== When You Need an Exact Size ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There are no numeric width and height fields for fixtures on the mapping: size is set with the mouse. Precision is achieved by other means.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Snap to grid&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; — the simplest method: all coordinates become whole pixels after scaling and rotation.&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Coordinates&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; in the corner of the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Mapping&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; window show the cursor&amp;#039;s position in field pixels — handy for fine-tuning the edge of a selection to the value you need. Enable them in the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;View&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; → &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Info&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; menu.&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Arrow keys&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; move the selection by 1 pixel, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Shift+arrows&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; — by 10. This is movement, not scaling, but it&amp;#039;s handy for aligning a line that&amp;#039;s already been stretched.&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Fixture Count&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; for a uniform spline in the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Properties&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; window sets density more precisely than stretching.&lt;br /&gt;
* &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Duplicate&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; on the toolbar creates copies of the selection with a precise X and Y offset — when you need a row of identical lines at a set distance, this is more reliable than scaling by hand.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The size and rotation of an &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;effect&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; are a separate matter: they&amp;#039;re configured not here, but in the effect settings window (the gear button in the effect&amp;#039;s properties), see [[Настройки эффектов]]. Fixtures and effects exist independently: stretching the fixtures only changes which part of the animation lands on them.&lt;br /&gt;

&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;A copy of the fixtures appeared instead of a move.&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Ctrl&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; was held while grabbing the central square — that duplicates the selection.
